Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I will try to get some pictures of Zev in his costume again (happy) later, but for now, we had a Halloween pajama photo session. This is the best one in his pjs.

I thought this face was too great not to include it.

Taking pictures it tiring...

So he rolled over to play, and then he realized as usual that there was something delicious to eat right in front of him.

CAUGHT...

Now, these pjs are a little too big, but I put them on as his clothes today, and they work just fine. I love the monster!

I worked hard for this smile. Just so you can imagine my hard work, I want to you know that I was dancing around singing the Witch Doctor song. Zev really likes it when you sing:

Ooo eee ooo ah ah ting tang
Walla walla bing bang!

Here was my result. It was worth it...

Here is a GREAT PICTURE. It is great for several reasons.

1. It is cute.
2. You can see Zev's new tooth!
3. This is the first time Zev was making trouble. I was cleaning in his bathroom for like 1 minute, and when I walked back, Zev had knocked over all the books! The one he has used to be in the back, but he must have wanted it because somehow it made its way to his lap...
4. I know Zev is going to make a lot more trouble. This won't be the first time I find him making messes, and just knowing this made me smile. I might not be smiling when he gets bigger and makes bigger messes, but for now, I love it!

Here is a picture of Zev at lunch with his new friend, Sienna. Later, Zev got out, and they had a dance party, but I have no pictures of that. Trust me, it was cute...

Last, but definitely not least, a picture of Zev with his Aunt Ray Ray and Uncle Zach. He had so much fun with them. He can't wait to see them again at Thanksgiving!

So, here are two pictures of Zev getting his teeth (really tooth) brushed for the first time. As you can see, he did not enjoy it that much. That was nothing compared to today's grumpiness though. We are not used to such a grumpy baby. It was sad as he was obviously uncomfortable, and we had a hard time helping him... Hopefully it will get easier tomorrow.

Before Sunday's grumpy tooth day, Zev had a fun Saturday visiting with his Aunt Ray Ray and Uncle Zach. I am forgetful though and didn't take any pictures! I think Rachel got a few though, so maybe I can put some up later. We wished they could have stayed for longer.

These are finally the pictures Zev took at the arboretum. I don't think we will pay for a photographer again for a while, as he was super grumpy, and you don't get your money back! These are the best pictures we got, and as you can see, he did not really cooperate with his super cute faces. Oh well.

On a more exciting note, Zev got his first tooth today! I am sure it has a mate to follow it, and I will try to get a picture. It is hard to capture, but I do have some pictures of me brushing his first tooth which I will try to post tomorrow. He is getting so big!

my little monster

I have already sent this out to a ton of people and put it on facebook, but I love it so much I'm putting it here too. My mom bought Zev this hat, and he is a perfect little monster. I love, love, love this picture (and the baby isn't too bad either...).

Here are some videos of Zev playing on his stomach. I was trying to catch him rolling over, which I didn't, but I did get some cute noises... Zev went to the arboretum today, and he had a good time, unlike his last visit. Unfortunately I forgot my good camera. Oh well, I think there are plenty of pictures of this kid!

Yesterday Zev was 5 months old! That seems so big. It seems like such a long time too, and Ari and I are so happy to have this kid around. I am in love. Below you can see why....

(except, I think he looks like Chris Farley here...)

This past month, Zev has gotten a lot more personality. He is also a lot more interested in the camera, making it harder for me to get good pictures, but it is worth the effort. It is crazy to me that five months ago he was just born, and in five months from now he will crawl and eat solids, etc. Babies change so much, and we are loving it.

Hook 'em!

Zev is supporting his dad's team today. Ari is at the TX/OU game, and Zev is dressed for good luck.

The Aggie in me has to tell you though, that right after this picture was taken, Zev spit up on his outfit... just saying...

Big week

In the past week Zev has been to the zoo twice, the fair, and to the park to ride the swing for the first time. It has been a big week! Here are a few pictures. This one is where I caught Zev in the middle of falling. He doesn't quite have that sitting thing down yet...

After that he went for a walk to the park by our house. We decided to see what would happen if he went in the swing. It was almost like he didn't even notice he was in a swing. He was mesmerized by the little girl's swing next to him though.

Then I would like to say he went down the slide, but mostly he sat on it for a photo op with his dad. Also, thanks to Grandma for the fun new onsie.

On Friday we went to the zoo with some friends. Zev spent some time in my arms, but a lot of the time asleep or just in his stroller playing with his links. I included two pigs in the picture at the bottom just to prove we were at the zoo.

Last, I have a video of Zev talking about his big week. He has a lot to say lately.

So, we had fun at the fair! Zev saw Big Tex. I had a corny dog and managed to not spill anything on his head. Ari was happy that we got in for $1 each, and I was happy to eat all my fried foods! Also, everywhere we go people want to talk about how cute Zev is! He even got us a free tamale.

This is not the greatest picture, but I have a wonderful picture of Ari and I in front of the love bugs. Now, I have a new love bug!

Carousel and funny head! Love it!

All the excitement, and then... a little nap.

Last, my new favorite picture of my two boys! I wish I could figure out how to get them bigger! (Insert Zev is fat joke by Ari here.)

Going to the Fair

Zev is going to the fair today to meet Big Tex! Though he still too small to eat a corny dog (next year, next year), he is not too small to smell it. We are excited and he is resting up for his big outing! I am excited, and as usual Ari is not excited, but he has been roped into the fair by me yet again. Hopefully I will have a picture or two from our big adventure! Zev and a cow, Zev and Big Tex, Zev and parents with fried cheese, Zev petting a goat... the possiblities are endless, but I have a feeling that the pictures won't be cute. Pictures of Zev in outdoor settings tend to have an unhappy look on his face. We will see...

HOPE!

This was made for me by Alison. Zev is too big for his Obama onsie now, but this is pretty darn cute!

Zev went to Houston

Zev went for a long trip to Houston. He had a great drive down. He was awake for about 45 minutes, then he slept 2 and a half hours. When he woke up we stopped at the outlet mall in Conroe. I ate at Subway, and Zev played on the table as shown below. Then we went for a walk and he ate. Then we drove one more hour to Emily's house. It was Zev's best drive ever.

Friday we just played and hung out waiting for Emily to come home from school. Zev has not been doing well at night lately. He wakes up from four to six in the morning everyday! Yikes, I am tired...

Then on Saturday we went to the Houston Zoo. We have a lot of pictures, but Zev didn't feel like smiling.

This is us watching an elephant! For those of you who don't know, I love baby elephants. I wanted to name my first son "Tufani" after the baby elephant that was born at Animal Kingdom while I worked at Disney World, but Ari did not agree.

I didn't learn the baby elephant's name, but we liked him all the same. I like African elephants better than Asian elephants, but not bad for Z's first zoo trip! Here we are with some Bongos.

Here we have a picture of two wolves. If you didn't know, Zev means "wolf" in Hebrew, so I wanted to get his picture with them, but they were far away, and he was sleepy. After this Zev took a little nap, and we kept walking around the zoo.

I know these pictures don't have Zev in them, but I got lucky with this bat shot, and I thought the world needed to see this Albino crocodile.

Move on to Sunday, I shot this picture to appreciate the cuteness that is the Jack O'latern on Zev's Halloween pjs. His Buby bought him these, and I LOVE THEM. If I am grumpy, Zev's bum in these makes me smile.

Last, but not least, here are a few pictures of Zev and Emily. I know I will be in trouble as I was requested to show pictures of Emily's baby belly, but I forgot. It is not very big yet, but in the right outfit you would believe you if she told you she was pregnant. I don't think anyone would ask her though!

Then, last night we drove home. This drive did not go as well as the first. There was a bit of crying, and he pooped out of his disposable car diaper onto his clothes. He hardly slept at all, and then he woke up and cried a little more. When we got home, he ate and went to bed. Hopefully he will sleep better this week than he did while we were at Emily's!
