First bath and pajama time!

Yesterday Tahl FINALLY took his first bath. I swear I gave him a sponge bath or two, but I am afraid of the umbilical cord and private part issues, so I just couldn't do it before! He did not love it...

Once he got wet, it was a little better, but then it went back down hill with the soap...

Then he moved on to his duck towel, which he still didn't really love.

Now he feels better. Warm pjs and socks. Take a look at that hair. I am not saying it will definitely be curly later, but it sure looks a little frizzy here!

Buby (Karen) bought the boys some matching pajamas while I was pregnant. Last night, we tried them out. Zev loved the motorcycle pajamas, and he thought it was pretty cool that he and Tahl were the same.

Zev is checking out the pjs.

Tahl is looking at his big brother. I am sure he will be watching him a lot in the days to come.

Kisses and...

Hugs!

Tahl seems to be growing on Zev in that he likes to help him change his diapers and clothes, but he does not always want him in my lap. I think that is pretty par for the course, so we are happy.

Please, Please...

In case you didn't know, Zev is in a big "no" stage. If you even say his name, he will answer "no" before you can ask your question. Yesterday, Mimi and Papa came by to give Zev some Easter presents. Everything we asked him got a big "NO." Then, Mimi asked Zev if she could take Tahl home with her... Zev does not talk that much, but he shook his head yes. Then he said, "please, please". I think every person in the room was dying laughing...

The Bris and Family Fun!

Warning: this is a long entry...

This week, we had Buby and Buster still here, and then Rachel (Aunt Ra Ra) and Ava came to stay with us.

Here is baby Ava meeting baby Tahl for the first time.

Prize winning photo taken by Rachel! Cutest picture of Zev in quite a while!

Miss Ava is precious!

On Wednesday everyone got to town for the bris on Thursday.

Here is Grandma Mimi, Brad, and Buby Mary at the bris.

Who is that handsome guy?

Noah and Ava. Noah is a great big cousin.

Cousins again!

Trying again the next day...

If you can't read Zev's shirt, it says "Don't Bug Me". This was pretty much his general attitude for the weekend. He didn't really want to share his toys, his house, or his parents. He did open up as the weekend went on, but he was a little overwhelmed by all the craziness.

Here we are painting a butterfly bank.

Noah had a car. He and Jaren's banks turned out beautifully. Zev stopped washing his brush and mostly just globbed the paint on, but he was happy with his result.

Last, but not least, here is Zev learning a little bit about baseball from Uncle Brad and Grandpa George. He had fun trying to hit the ball and watching Noah hit the ball. He hit it a few times with his great grandfather's help.

We had such a fun weekend with everyone. We are so lucky to have so much family who would drive and fly here to be with us to celebrate Tahl. We are especially lucky to have Buby and Buster who threw Tahl a wonderful bris. We are even more lucky that they get up with him at night and offer us so much help. Karen will be here for another week. Tahl has good nights and less good nights, but hopefully he will just continue to sleep better each night!

more pictures!

This weekend Tahl got to meet some new people!

Here is Tahl sleeping in his great-grandma's lap.

Love!

Julie broke the mold and took her picture with Zev!

all four!

Zev, GG, and Tahl. Otherwise known as Grandma's new screen saver. I don't even have a picture with both boys yet!

close up

This morning Tahl tried out his play mat for the first time!
This picture reminds me of a very similar picture of Zevi...

Hands are delicious.

Here, we had asked Zev to give Tahl his burp cloth. This is where he placed it. Thanks to the Aces and the Cunninghams for the monster burp cloths (and yet to be revealed) monster onsie for Tahl! They match Zev's monster shirt and the boys blankets. I like to try to keep my favorite Etsy shop in business!

Last, but not least, this is the angry face. Tahl is not always cheerful, he sometimes has a little reflux, but once you help him feel better, he gets sweet again!
